We say farewell to Big Al, one of our most loved presenters at Triple U.

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Alec Field, better known to us as Big Al.

Big Al was a legend across the airwaves, presenting his wildly popular Sunday Night Country Homestead show for many years, with many listeners tuning in from the USA.

He went onto present Paddy’s Bar, an Irish and Celtic show, as well as a Bluegrass and Western show Hillbilly.

He was a lifetime member and part of our committee, and contributed greatly to the legacy that Triple U is today.

Our hearts go out to his family, the airwaves lost a great voice but it will not be forgotten.

His funeral is Monday 19th June at the Chapel at Worrigee Lawn Cemetary at 3pm. The family has requested no flowers but if friends wish to make a donation to Parkinson’s Research. This donation can be made via the NSW Parkinsons page.
