 +====== PROGRAMMING POLICY ======

 +
 +===== General =====
 +
 +
 +1. It is station policy to encourage diversity in material broadcast, however, every announcer represents Triple U-FM when on air. Responsibilities to our sponsors, Corporate Sponsors, Shoalhaven City Council are considered in that we will not embarrass them or their products by presenting material to deliberately provoke adverse reaction to our listening audience.  On the other hand, we are not controlled by the wants of the advertisers and politicians.
 +
 +2. All announcers are required to undertake the CBAA media law training module before going to air.
 +
 +===== Presentation of CBAA News =====
 +
 +3. The news will be presented at the following times:
 +  *  Monday to Friday at 7am, 8am, 9am, Noon, 5pm and 6pm;
 +  * Saturday and Sunday at 7am, 8am, 9am and noon;
 +  * Announcers may choose to present the news at other times as appropriate.
 +
 +4. The news and weather introductions are to be played ahead of the respective sections.  It is acceptable to play the news intro after the news if for some reason it is missed at the beginning. Announcers should play an ASP or CA in between the sponsorship announcements
 +
 +===== Sponsorship Announcements =====
 +
 +5. No more than 8 sponsorship announcements are to be played per hour. The 1 hour period to be taken from the top of the hour to the next top of the hour.
 +
 +6. To allow maximum unbroken music or program playing without interruptions, sponsorship breaks to be played only at approximately a quarter past the hour and a quarter to the hour.
 +
 +7. Items promoting the same products or services from different sponsors must not be played in the same break.
 +
 +===== Announcer Show Promos (ASPs) and Station IDs =====
 +
 +8. Play or verbalise station ID’s between items within the show to break the music mood from soft to hard or vice versa.  Play at least 2 ASPs per hour for following shows and future shows.  Verbal promos are acceptable as well as recorded versions.  Do not play ASPs which were presented a day or more previously.
 +
 +

 +
 +b. On commencement, the previous announcer must be thanked, give the time, station ID, the name of the show and presenter's name.

 +        * Triple U-FM prefers announcers to get to know each other and be available to fill in for each other.
 + * Stand by programs prepared by the announcers can also be organized. In an emergency, the Program Director will replace with music from the computer library. If the announcer fails to notify, they may receive a censure, leading to the loss of their program.
