Thank you for your interest in becoming a sponsor of Triple U FM.
Triple U FM is the only fully licensed community broadcaster encompassing the whole of the Shoalhaven. Geographically we are licensed to cover approximately 4400sq/Km which makes up the Shoalhaven, stretching from Gerroa/Gerringong in the North to Termeil in the South and West beyond the coastal escarpment including Kangaroo Valley and areas East of Robertson. Triple U-FM has three separate transmitters to enable us to cover such a large geographical area.
Over the past 26 years we’ve been broadcasting to a rapidly growing and culturally diverse and selective audience who share listening time with the ABC Radio National, ABC Classic-FM and the Triple J set.
Surveys - Previous commercial radio surveys were not structured to deliver any meaningful data about community audiences. Consequently in 2010 the Community Broadcasting Association of Australia (CBAA), using Commonwealth funding, commissioned McNair Anderson Ingenuity Research to perform a survey for the community area of broadcasting. This was carried out to industry codes of practice and based on standardised questions to determine audience statistics for both capital city and regional community stations. The results were impressive:
Sponsorships on community radio has proven to be a commercially viable medium for small business/trades and for new businesses to establish name and product recognition. The above survey saw the Community Radio sector increase its listener base by 10%.
Advertisers using community radio for their medium are often looking for the warm and fuzzy spin that comes with being a supporter of a community organization. However, the large and ever growing community radio audience should not to be overlooked by advertisers for direct promotion of their products and services. Because we don’t have the overheads of a commercial radio station, sponsoring Triple U FM is simple and cost effective, and we can deliver fantastic value.
We have a fully equipped audio production facility to produce and edit your jingle free of charge. If you are already using commercial radio for your advertising campaign, we can edit your existing advertisement/jingle with the inclusion of a two second sponsor tag. All of our sponsorship messages are scheduled throughout the day, and as a bonus, during our overnight programs.
As a bonus, sponsors of Triple U FM may also have their business Logo posted to this website.

General Information
Approximately 26 years ago our license was granted to provide a Community Broadcasting service throughout the Shoalhaven, making us the first FM broadcaster in the area. Our main studios are located in the Shoalhaven City Arts Centre, Berry St in the central business district of Nowra NSW.
Geographically we are licensed to cover the approx 4400sq/Km that makes up the Shoalhaven, stretching from Gerroa/Gerringong in the North to Termeil in the South and West beyond the coastal escarpment including Kangaroo Valley and areas East of Robertson. Shoalhaven FM has 3 separate transmitters to enable us to cover such a large geographical area. In the South, the transmitter is located in the Morton National Park, Little Forest Trig, west of Milton. The transmission from the south is licensed to 1Kw, ie 1000 watts.
Our main transmitter is located at Cambewarra Mountain and is licensed to 2Kw or 2000 watts. Our transmitter in the north is located at Moyean Hill, just north of Coolangatta Mt. This northern transmitter is a low power of 10 watts and its purpose was to provide special coverage to the villages around Shoalhaven Heads and Berry.
Shoalhaven FM also plans to soon broadcast an audio ‘stream’ of our programs on the internet together with a plethora of information about the radio station and the volunteers from the community who are the public face of Shoalhaven FM.
Behind the scenes are volunteers who carry out roles such as broadcasting programs, accounting and bookkeeping, sales and marketing, technical and IT, external program production and scheduling, and training of new volunteers.
We are a not-for-profit organization, and for the most part are staffed by volunteers from the community it serves. We are governed by a committee elected from our members and must abide by stringent Commonwealth and State Government regulations and enforceable Codes of Practice.
Supporters, of Shoalhaven FM can sometimes be current or past sponsors. If you have been a long term sponsor of Shoalhaven FM your name will be placed on our supporters lists on our website as recognition of the valuable support you gave us.
