Eric’s two main passions in life, that is, if you exclude his wife Dorothy, a family of one son and three daughters, eleven grandchildren and two great-grandchildren, have been radio broadcasting and encouraging people to understand God and all that He offers us through Jesus Christ.
Fortunately he has been able to link these two passions for most of his working life.
After high school Eric worked as an engineering draughtsman before an opportunity arose to work in radio. That was with the infant organisation that has grown to be 103.2fm in Sydney. In those early days programs were produced for broadcast by commercial radio stations across Australia.
After some 13 years of writing, production and management, Eric felt constrained to enter the ministry of the Anglican Church and was ordained in 1972. After ministries in Punchbowl, Wollongong, Keiraville and Minto, Eric and Dorothy retired to Shoalhaven Heads where he continues as Associate Minister of St. Peter’s Anglican Church.. In 1991 Eric was invited to share in the presentation of Triple-U’s Christian programme With A Message and he continues to do that in co-operation with Ken Joyce and Paul Rutledge.
