Restarting the Internet modem

Occasionally the modem which gives the station access to the internet will need to be restarted. You will know this is needed when you cannot access websites from the station computers.

To restart the modem…

• Go the Equipment Room door; on the wall to the left of the door is a switch
• Turn this switch off
• COUNT SLOWLY FOR 60 SECONDS
• Turn the switch back on
• Wait another 60 seconds

Internet connections should be restored to the computers within a minute
