Big Al Field has earned a world wide reputation as a true "country" music
announcer through his Country Homestead radio program aired on Triple U FM
in Nowra, Australia.
The Country Homestead, now in its 15th year, has earned many accolades for
its support of independent artists and promotion of country, bluegrass, cajun and americana music genres.
The program also broadcasts worldwide on the internet from Nashville through the web radio site www.twangtownusa.com

The Country Homestead also won the award for "Best Country Music Radio Program In Australia" at the Tamworth Country Music Festival.
Internationally, the internet website www.twangtownusa.com has twice won
the American Eagle Award for best country music program on the internet.
Big Al's Country Homestead broadcasts the first hour of this 24/7 internet radio show.
Rhonbob is the promoter of numerous country music artists and has made Big Al the recipient of its Spotlight On DJ Of The Month award.
The award states "By virtue of your unwavering tenacity to giving airplay to independent artists and your love of the music industry in whole, you have been granted this Spotlight On DJ Of The Month, from Rhonbob Promotions, on this 17th day of June 2007. Big Al, 60, also interviews artists from around the world on his show, either by live studio chats or phone-to-air interviews.
His listeners are able to assist in the selection of songs for the Triple U FM program by sending in requests which are mainly songs that have been heard on the Country Homestead show.
From a family of nine children born to a coal miner and his wife, Big Al Field was raised on a healthy diet of love and country music and was able to share both with his listeners after joining the team at his local community radio station.
Apart from his Country Homestead program, Big Al also produces and presents another weekly three hour country program, Hillbilly Heaven, and a two hour weekly Irish music program, Paddy's Bar.
